Environment and Human Rights Advisory is a non-profit corporation chartered in the state of Oregon. Its work is to provide information and analysis services nationally (in the US) and internationally to private firms, government agencies and environmental organizations regarding the human rights dimensions of their work.
Our HRIAs are intended to provide even-handed, referenced ethical analyses, based on widely recognized and adopted human rights instruments. These HRIAs can serve as standards of reference for moral norms at issue in environmental disputes. Just as scientific studies serve as documentation for matters of fact that may be controversial in a dispute, EHRA reports serve as documentation for questions of value.
